I was 18 when I got my first (and only) car. I was paying for it myself, so I took really good care of it. (Much better care than some of my friends and people I knew whose parents paid for their car, I might add.) One of my favorite things to do used to be going through the car wash. Cheap thrill, I know, but it would seriously make my day to take a trip through the car wash! I'd always opt for the supreme car wash because I loved the pink, yellow and blue wax foam. I'd always stay in the car wash/dryer for every second I was allowed to get the most bang for my buck.
My mom and I recently got gas and went through the car wash and I was shocked that the basic wash and rinse that used to cost two dollars back in the day when I was a driving gal now costs six dollars! Six dollars is how much the deluxe wash used to cost; that's inflation for you! Things sure have gotten expensive in the past eight years!

Hey Heather!
ReplyDeleteI ran across your blog via Chrissy's "Life; Parazlyzed" blog.
I was reading HER blog because she was in the news ...for starving herself to death.
Anyways, your blog is a breath of fresh air compared to hers. Everything she wrote was self-centered, egotistical, and a giant pity-party. You, on the other hand, clearly have a love for life in your heart and a sparkle in your eye. Never lose that!
Keep on being awesome
Hey there
ReplyDeleteI found your blog the same way that the above person did.
I have been reading you all afternoon.
Yes, what a breath of fresh air you are but I also understand how Chrissy could have felt differently, approached it differently.
But, coming here to comment is to say that you were truly born with JOY, that life's energy, God, which travels throughout the universe, beyond eternity, gave you something which has made something so unbelievably life-changing, something that you deal with, get on with, but most incrediably, what you manage to turn into a Force that not only allows you to continue to live your life in joy, but for the inspiration you give to others, that your joy has so much energy in it, that there's enough to share.
You truly are a joy to read.
And you truly do have a sparkle in your eyes that shows that you do indeed have The Force within you.
Thank you for sharing your life this way.
p.s Please tell your mum that she is one of the most beautiful women in the world, on the inside and out. She is so pretty!
