I'm glad today's over! Not because it's been a bad day or anything, but because it was my annual trip to the my urologist. My urological appointments are rarely just appointments and they usually involve some sort of test or procedure that's either uncomfortable and/or something I have to get out of my wheelchair for. (Since I'm totally paralyzed, getting out of my wheelchair isn't as easy as just hopping out; instead I have to be lifted out with a special sheet that my mom puts in my wheelchair for such occasions.)
Today I had to get a KUB (kidneys, ureters, bladder) x-ray of my abdomen and a renal ultrasound of my kidneys. After getting those things done I met with my urologist to see what the results showed. I'm very prone to kidney stones since I'm paralyzed and I've had my fair share of kidney stones since being injured, so I always fear that the results will show that I have more stones.
Thankfully, I'm doing well! The kidney stone that I already have in my left kidney hasn't gotten any bigger in the past year and I haven't formed any additional kidney stones. I'm good to go for another year, so long as I don't develop any complications over the next 12 months. (I've been really healthy lately and I haven't been hospitalized in more than two years, so I'm crossing my fingers that this trend continues for at least another year!)
Great news! Congratulations on your good health and prayers that it continues. Not in the least so you can continue to brighten yor readers' days with posts!

I'm thrilled to hear that you got a clean bill of health at the urologist. I'll pray that the stone in your left kidney dissolves. You're always in my prayers, Heather.
