"Snow White and the Huntsman"

Last Saturday afternoon my younger sister Channie I went to the movies to see Snow White and the Huntsman. I thought this movie looked really good when I first saw the trailer for it, until I saw that Kristen Stewart was cast in the starring role of Snow White. I don't know why they chose her and it kind of seemed like an oxymoron of a choice because Snow White is a lovely, kind, pure and sweet and Kristin Stewart does not come across as those things. She's more of a melancholy, brooding, intense kind of person. Plus, after seeing the Twilight movies that she's been in, I think she's a horrible actress. She always has this pained expression on her face that's really unpleasant to look at!
All that being said, the movie wasn't too bad, despite Kristen Stewart being in it! I was fearing her performance, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be after seeing her train wreck performance in Twilight. Good acting? Not hardly, but definitely an improvement on Twilight! I also enjoyed Charlize Theron's performance as the wicked queen, as well as Chris Hemsworth's performance of the huntsman; he's such a cutie!
As with most movies I see (especially movies I see in the theater), I feel like I only absorb about 75% of the movie the first go around. My sister and I both agreed that we need to see it again. Heather's rating: 8/10 stars

  1. I agree with you about K. Stewart. She has zero personality!
