Sometimes people say that they don't regret anything about their life. They don't regret any of the choices they've made, things they've done, etc. I'm not one of those people, because the truth is that I do regret some of the things I've done in my life. Some of my regrets are bigger than others and I could definitely make a list of the things I regret since it's hard to forget the things you've done wrong and feel badly about. Instead I try to use those things as a reminder to do better and be better. (Usually easier said than done!)
Sometimes I wonder why it's so hard for us to forgive ourselves, but I think that's one of the tactics that Satan tries to get us to feel badly about ourselves/our efforts and give up. I know I'm not perfect and will continue to make mistakes, but if I keep trying to improve and be the best person I can be, that's what matters.

Ironic that you posted this today Heather. I have been struggling with this extra hard lately. I just can't seem to forgive myself for even the simplist things lately- like not smiling and saying thank you when my mind was else where- or for stupid things like jumping the gun and talking to my supervisor about something that 3 days later doesnt mean a thing anymore. I just keep replaying it in my mind thinking "you are so stupid! why do you do stuff like that?" instead of moving on.....
Heather,
I know I am my own biggest critic. It definitely is human. You are a beautiful person.
