Hi Heather! I'm reading a book now called "face" by Benjamin Zephaniah and I could have sworn you did a blog post about it. I could be totally wrong. It's about a boy who gets his face burned in an accident, but it's set in England, and I remember you talking about how the slang terms in England were so different from the ones here in the US and that was a bit trying to understand. Did I just dream this up, lol? I can't find it on your list of Blogworthy books, so maybe it's just me. Anyway, it's a pretty interesting read, if you don't have anything lined up for your next book. I will also say that I know you listen to a lot of books on CD and I just finished listening to "Rules of Civility" and it was fantastic. I'm now reading a memoir called "The Glass Castle" It's also pretty engrossing and amazing to read what the author went through growing up. Just thought I'd throw those couple of books out there and ask about the book "face". Hope you are well! I check into your blog almost every day. You're on my Favorites list. :) I'm from South Carolina.
I've never heard of "Face" but it sounds like a book I would like. Maybe the book I wrote about that you're thinking of is "Overcome: Burned, Blinded and Blessed" because it's about a woman who gets burned. I've heard of The Glass Castle and have wanted to read it, but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'll have to make it a priority. Thanks for the book suggestions! I'm really glad that you enjoy reading my blog so much and that it's one of your favorites!
