NYE 2013

New Year's Eve was low-key. I don't really even remember how we spent the day, to tell you the truth, but in the evening we had our traditional dinner of fun party foods. (We always have a dinner of appetizers, but we don't always have the same thing every year.)

My nieces Elizabeth and Kate:
Emi… lil' beauty!
I thought these pictures of Matt were funny. Sharon was taking pictures of the kids and when Matt caught her taking pictures of him he refused to look at her. (I should mention that this little guy does not like having his picture taken!)
Kate and Sarah:
This year we had crab rangoon dip and spinach dip (with crackers and chips to dip in them), cheesy olive bread and fresh fruit and vegetables. We also made homemade ice cream for dessert––french vanilla with toffee bits mixed in). Yum!
We had a "picnic" in the family room and watched Monsters University. I'm usually not a huge fan of animated movies, but it was really cute and the kids really liked it, which is the most important part.
It's so hard to believe that another year has come and gone. I'm amazed as I look at my nieces and nephews and see how quickly they're growing up. The oldest two are only 13, but it won't be long before they're doing things like graduating high school, going on church missions, going to college, working, getting married and having families of their own. The older I get the faster time passes and it never ceases to amaze me!

And time goes even faster at my age:-). Great party! Great family! I can feel the love.
