Bare Escentuals

I first became acquainted with Bare Escentuals makeup eight years ago (this was before my car accident). I was flipping through the channels late one night after work and I came across an infomercial for Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. I was sucked in and I REALLY wanted to try the makeup, but I decided I couldn't afford it since it was rather expensive as makeup goes.

Fast forward to a year and a half later (after my car accident). I saw the Bare Escentuals infomercial and I was immediately sucked in again, just as I was the first time. Why not splurge on myself? I decided to go for it! My meager disability check wasn't much, but I suddenly found myself free from bills like a car payment, car insurance, gas, etc., so that's why I decided to go for it. I was worth it! It was worth it!

Long story short, I've been a faithful Bare Escentuals wearer ever since! Although it's expensive, a little goes a long way and I don't have to buy it very often at all. (However, I only wear makeup once or twice a week on the days I go out in public, so I know I would have to buy it more frequently if I wore makeup every day.)

I really love Bare Escentuals eye shadow. The color I like is called 'nude beach’ and I love it! The best way I can describe what it looks like is shimmery sand. It's got a lot of sparkle to it without looking like too much. I've been wearing ‘nude beach’ for several years and I get compliments on it all the time. The small container of it cost $13, but like I said, a little goes a long way. I've had mine for two years and I've barely put a dent in it. Click here to find Nude Beach. It's hard to capture the beauty of this color in a photograph, but I'll try:

I think it's nice to sometimes indulge ourselves on something like Bare Escentuals since it's something that's a little more luxurious than the norm.

I agree that we should indulge sometimes

I had an allergic reaction to Bare Escentuals (weird, I know) and a friend recommended Bare Minerals. It's the same idea, but slightly cheaper (and no itchy red bumps for me!). They sell sample sizes for really cheap, so you might want to check them out!
