Happy Mother's Day!

This is my mom, Diane, but I just call her Di. (Isn't she cute?!) We've been best friends for as long as I can remember. I could make a lengthy post on all of the reasons why I love my mom, but I'll try to keep it short.
My mom has always been such a good mom and role model. One thing I admire about my mom is how honest she is. She always tries to do the right thing, and she's a really good example to me. She's so spiritual, too, and I'm trying to be like her in this respect. My mom is extremely selfless. Again, I could cite so many examples, but I'm trying to keep my post short. I think the biggest example of her selflessness is how she has completely devoted her life to me since my accident. My mom was in graduate school at the time of my accident, but she quit school so that she could become my main caregiver. She's been there with me since day one and I wouldn't want to go through life without her.

Mom, thank you for being my mother, friend, advocate, hero and angel! We don't have a normal life or a traditional mother/daughter relationship since my accident, but I'm so glad we get to spend our days together! The Lord definitely knew what he was doing when he paired us up as mother and daughter!

A few pictures of Mom and me through the years:

Happy Mother's Day to all women out there!
